Construction features

HIGHLY SHIELDING BRAIDED SHEATH CONSISTING OF A SET OF ULTRA-FLEXIBLE TINNED COPPER STRANDS AND POLYESTER MONOFILAMENT

Continuous service temperature: -40°C +150°C
Peak temperature: +175°C
General characteristics:
  • Superlight
  • High flexibility
  • Excellent abrasion resistance
  • Protects against impact and vibration
  • Ease of assembly
Electrical characteristics:
  • High shielding effectiveness against electromagnetic interference (EMI) from 10 kHz to 1 GHz

Standards and approvals

  • Fire resistance according to FMVS S302 (V < 100mm/m) and UL 94 V2
  • Smoke toxicity according to NF F 16-101
  • RoHS 2002/95/EC compliant

Use

  • Automation and robotics: due to its high mechanical resistance and to the dynamic cycles of alternative flexing, it is suitable for protecting cable bundles on board robots.
  • Automotive sector: successfully used in the electromagnetic protection of cables supplying Xenon headlights.
  • Aeronautical, Naval, Railway Sector

Packing

  • The SPIDER GAINE is generally delivered on an inert holding tube that prevents the sheath from being crushed during packaging and transport and preserves its cylindrical shape, facilitating the introduction of cables inside it during cabling.
