Atex cable constructed to meet the requirements of EN 60079-14 and EN 60079-25, for intrinsically safe circuits, and NFC 15-100 for explosion hazardous areas.

Cable characteristics:
  • Good resistance to acids.
  • Good resistance to bases.
  • Fairly good resistance to aliphatic hydrocarbons.
  • Water resistance: type AD7 according to IEC 60529 without immersion of the ends.
  • UV resistance ≥ 2000 hours according to EN 16472.
Cable composition:
  • Red copper conductor - class 2 according to IEC 60228.
  • Separator tape (optional).
  • Insulation: silicone rubber, according to NF C 32-090 + filler (optional).
  • (option) Electrical screen: aluminium/PET tape + continuity wire (EG) / tinned copper braid (BE) / red copper braid (BR).
  • (option) Inner sheath: HFFR, type ST8 according to IEC 60502-1.
  • (option) Armour: Galvanised steel braid (BG) / double steel foil (FA).
  • Outer sheath: HFFR, type ST8 according to IEC 60502-1.
Standard production:
  • Sheath: orange
  • Identification of conductors:
    • Up to 5 conductors: according to HD 308 S2
    • More than 5 conductors: white numbered

The outer sheath resists chemical aggression according to OMERIN NT140202-01
